Reverb heavy synth pop is alive and well with Portugal’s simplistic and aurally purple . Already making waves throughout the psych-electronic genre, DREAMS create an early morning fuzz-fest that shimmers with pop sensibility and a loftiness many ‘chillwave’ acts strive for. When the music reaches for a more atmospheric feel, it grabs the listener by both arms with the help of layered synth drones and gorgeous harmonies. This is more than a forgettable mixtape addition, this is meant to be heard with care.

1. Could you state your name and what you do in the band?
João and I create music under the name DREAMS.
2. How would you describe your sound?
Fuzzed out pop.
3. What is your favorite local band?
Throes , Wools,
4. Any concerts that blew your mind recently?
Thee Oh Sees was pretty good.
5. Any non-musical influences you would like to mention?
Platonic stuff.
6. If your music was to be the theme of a film/TV show, what would it be?
That 70’s Show!!!
7. What musician/artist would you like to collaborate with for a day?
Jack White, Warpaint.
8. What is the album you listen to on a cold rainy day?
Is it raining now and I’m listen to “Life On Earth” by Tiny Vipers. Radio Dept. “Clinging to a Scheme” could be a good choice too.
9. List four songs you would listen to on a roadtrip?
It’s hard name only four, but:

I don’t like to think about future.

12. Is image a factor in music or is it a waste of time?
It’s not a waste of time, but keep things genuine.
13. Any embarrassing moments on stage you would like to share?
I turn of the reverb in my voice to speak between musics and sometimes I forgot to turn on again, and I just realize it a few moments before I start to sing. Luckily this only happened 2 times.
14. Any favorite tour locations?
US in general, but really love California
15. Lastly, what is your present state of mind?
Just go with the flow.
