About Kata Rokkar
The name Kata Rokkar derives from a song by the Icelandic sensation, Björk. No, I’m not one bit Icelandic. However, I am obviously a huge fan of her work.
Kata Rokkar is a Bay Area-centric mostly-music blog that focuses on reporting Bay Area as well as international music news, live show reviews, pictures, tour dates, album reviews, MP3’s, and videos. Non-music news finds it’s way on to our pages as well, like local art and stand-up comedy. We have also covered many music festivals with full reviews, photo, and interviews; Noise Pop 2010, Outside Lands Festival 2008–2009, Treasure Island Music Festival 2009, SXSW 2010, Sasquatch Music Festival 2010, and Bonnaroo Music Festival 2010.
