Hip-hop collective Doomtree will branch out to Slim’s tonight with P.O.S., Sims, Dessa, Mictlan, Cecil Otter, Paper Tiger, and Lazerbeak. If you even remotely enjoyed the brilliance of P.O.S.’s Never Better from last year, this night is for you. This combination of real hip-hop genius is unsurpassed and to see them all in the same room is a rarity and spine-tinglingly exciting. With Dessa’s A Badly Broken Code, Lazerbeak’s Legend Recognize Legend, and Paper Tiger’s Made Like Us released this year, it’s going to be a pretty sick night for genuine experimental hip-hop music.
