The 4th has come and gone, but you can rally by continuing to enjoy BBQs and summer fun in consecutive weekends. Kata Rokkar cordially invites you to come celebrate the high point of the season on the back patio at El Rio this Saturday from 4-8pm with some amazing live music from some stellar bands.
Portland based Reporter will be releasing their debut LP in August, Time Incredible, and has already gotten love from the likes of KEXP among others, so they should be slated for big things very soon. We are also happy to have Spesus Christ, the current project from former frontman of SF band, Raised By Robots, since he relocated to Portland. Not to mention up-and-coming local indie-electronic groups, Phantom Kicks and Skeletal System. An ass-shaking DJ set by Boyz IV Men is just the icing on the cake.
The $6 cover includes burgers (veggie & beef) hot off the grill from 4-6pm and other summer eats for your enjoyment. There will also be $2 PBRs all day to quench your thirst. This is the afternoon that will melt away your foggy San Francisco summer blues with watermelon slices, jorts, novelty drink umbrellas, and the biggest outdoor indie dance party you’ve seen in ages.
