On the 25th of September of 2009, we hosted a concert at Flux 53 in Oakland, CA. The line-up included Santa Barbara progressive-rock / world act Oso and Bay Area acoustic singer-songwriter Benjamin Henderson. The show was an epic assault on the senses and nice reminder that this website that I created years ago is capable of organizing amazing events such as these. Whether it was Ben Henderson’s bellowing voice, the Oakland youth free-styling to Ben’s drummer during intermission, or Oso’s awe inspiring set that involved singing in the audience, a unicycle, and some impressive instrumentation from the whole band; that show got me motivated to organize another real soon.
