Last time I saw The Dodos they were playing to a fair sized crowd at Outside Lands Festival last month. Their set at the festival was pretty good actually. But there seemed to be something missing from this performance.

While the epic drum extensions were still there and seemed like a scene from Stomp. It’s fair to say that the songs from Visiter are way more fun to watch than songs from Time To Die. They played the whole new album in shuffle form and peppered a few jam sessions, but the show felt incomplete and dull at times.

Once they kicked off Fools, everyone (obviously) went apeshit, but that was all they brought from their last album. It wasn’t a bad show by any means; plus it was free, so I can’t say I was cheated, just slightly disappointed.
