Upon hearing the new Portugal. The Man track “People Say”, I immediately dragged-n-dropped that shit into my Warmer Weather Playlist (you thought I was going to say Recycle Bin, shame on you). This bright and sunny sing-a-long makes sense if you enjoyed last year’s “Censored Colors” but those familiar with the band since “Waiter: “You Vultures!” will notice the post-punk flavor has since been faded away and replaced with this 70s flower-girl rock. You won’t hear me complaining though.
The band has been releasing short previews of their record here to hype up their new record, “The Satanic Satanist” which comes out on the 21st of July. In addition, PTM will be performing at this year’s Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco on Saturday (looks like an early performance too). Hope to see you at their stage.

Having been into Division Day since their EP back in 2002 (yeah there’s only like 400 of them out there) and watching them grow with the “Mean Way In EP” and finally “Beartrap Island”, it’s a huge deal to me to see them sign up with Dangerbird Records and announce the release of their second album, “Visitation” (is that cover badass or what?). Not only that, but the tracks Devil Light and Visitation are streamable on their right now. I may be a bit biased when I say this but, both these songs are absolutely fantastic.
