I usually don’t do random posts unless I’m super excited about something; this my friends is something I am super excited about! Finally some news about latest album, Ok Bear, has been released. The album will be available in stores on the 12th of May everywhere. No word on vinyl or bonus editions or whatever. Initially I was bummed because the album was supposed to be out last month. That was until I got to hear the new track and….umm…..wow? It’s fucking great. Being a fan of 1996′s Return Of The Frog Queen, I was hoping for a return to form with this album. I got more than I bargained for. Not only does he bring back the rawness and vulnerability of Frog Queen, but it sounds like late-Sunny Day Real Estate. The combination of the two is enough for me to jump up and down in a fit of blissful joy. I will be very surprised if this album does not land on the top of my ‘End of the Year’ list.
