Those who know me well know that I’m a slave for Björk and everything she does. But out of all her material, I love the Vespertine album the most, especially around winter time. There’s one stand out track that even has what sounds like someone stepping snow (it’s actually Matmos recording themselves shuffling their feet in rocks), and that song is Aurora. Lyrics like, I tumble down on my knees / fill the mouth with snow / the way / it melts / I wish to melt into you, can put you in the mood for a long walk in the chilly weather with a cup of hot chocolate. I look forward to doing just that when I arrive in NY in a few days…
