There weren’t many albums released this year that even resembled the badshit insane sound coming from The Mae Shi‘s Hlllyh. Well ladies and gentlemen, this internet age has found it’s marching band. The LA band has been rocking their brand of fuck-you-sideways electro-spazz for the past six years and from the looks of it, aren’t going anywhere but up. They have already secured themselves on a few top 10 records of 2008 lists (mine included) and have become very well known for their frantic and energetic live shows. We’ll see what the new year holds for this bizarre and super fun band.

London. Barcelona, Spain is also crazy.
