Living As Wolves

When I do research on a band, I google the band name right off the bat to see what comes up. Well what came up when I googled was three or four pages of articles on living with wolves. Which sidetracked me off on this one hour obsession on learning about people who live with wolves. (DID YOU KNOW? Wolves kill coyotes; rodent populations increase, benefiting struggling birds of prey. Also, with fewer coyotes, pronghorn antelope calves are less likely to be preyed upon.) Okay anyway, so this band! If you blended Explosions in the Sky with Queens of the Stone Age and a dab of Alice in Chains, you’d get a pretty awesome band thats called Living as Wolves. Hailing from Branchwood Court, Illinois; Living as Wolves brilliantly perform their own form of atmospheric rock with gorgeous results. The audio landscapes in the song Leaving Chicago and it’s four minute intro are swooningly moving and a joy to listen to. This isn’t your average rock band, this is something much much more.

Living with Wolves will be on tour this winter…

You had me at “Alice in Chains”… def checking them out.

And you forgot to mention that few coyotes = less awkward situations where parents have to explain to their children how Barney the cat or Skippy the dog was maliciously mauled by the cute, fuzzy little coyot.
