With the way the election and our fake economy is going, it feels that way. But before you decide to enclose yourself in a bunker and eat pop tarts and Campbell soup for 10 years, you should consider catching a live show of the string metal act, Judgement Day. There are no, I repeat, no guitars in Judgement Day. It’s quite impressive actually, they are able to create some pretty evil and epic sounding music. The Oakland based band self released the ground shaking album, Dark Opus, back in 2004 and it’s kind of a surprise why it took them so long to get a proper tour. Nevertheless, it seems appropriate that there are no guitars in this band, metal’s main influence is classical music. So it only makes sense that the genre returns to it’s roots, with a bit of a twist. Judgement Day has worked with likes of Cursive and Bright Eyes and are currently touring with Margot and the Nuclear So and So’s and then dredg. So catch them while you can…or just watch the zombie video below.
