The video’s that Björk has been releasing for Volta have been hit-or-miss. Unlike the videos from Homogenic and Post, which were fun, sexy, and innovative. The Volta videos have been somewhat boring and lacking that creative spirit that she is known for (Michel! WTF?). That is until the Wanderlust video, which knocked me off my feet. Her latest video, The Dull Flame of Desire, featuring Antony Hegarty, seems to keep with the intended atmosphere of the song. I like it. I mean, it’s no Bachlorette. But it reminds me of the simplicity and romance of the Vespertine videos. I approve.

wow this video moves me, especially when the their faces start to become one. You didn’t like “Declare Independence”? I loved that video. Plus it was just nominated for a top design award in the music video category! I think for me my all time fav videos are Hidden Place and Pagan Poetry. Oh and I love the “The Dull Flame Of Desire” (Modeselektor’s Rmx For Girls)

I love the concept of the D.I. video. However, with Michel making videos like Army of Me and Hyper-Ballad, this one was high on hype. So when I finally saw it, it was a huge disappointment. It seemed plain, poorly shot, and kind of boring. But thats just my opinion.

My favorites have to be Possibly Maybe and Bachlorette, without a doubt.

I’d post “The Dull Flame Of Desire” (Modeselektor’s Rmx For Girls), but lately she’s been cracking down on blogs that post that song. So I defaulted with the b-side :)
