The band’s creative energy bares an approachable underbelly with a surprisingly humane, almost welcoming, sheen. Floating along on the crashing drums, the fuzz-drenched guitars, and subtle but apparent synth, the band sounds almost tender, leaving the impression that the future may unmask the fact that Hosannas‘ veneer of misanthropic noise is, from the outset, the band’s ultimate deception.
