Completing the circuit between the minimalism of ex-Detachment Kit composers Charlie H. Davis III and Ian Menard, Ian MacDermut’s guitars sounding like rabid animals, and percussionist player Jess Birch smashing away the dance beats; BRONZE is a uniquely winning formula. Driving percussion high in the mix, guitars played with a sense of rush, and splashes of New Order-synth color all come together like the schematics for a piece of precision engineering. This music is too fun to ignore.
