Kuestionnaires, Music

Brutal, cinematic, clobbering, psychedelic; all of which could easily describe the Sharon, Massachusetts five-piece instru-metal band, . Having built a small following with their debut album, Samus Octology, Irepress have continued with their brand of chiseled post rock with their latest release, Sol Eye Sea I. Sol Eye Sea I is an album filled with all the metal trimmings, minimal jazz primers, and cryptic riffs that hit out of nowhere with the pummeling impact of a meteor. Irepress is proving that New England is becoming the new hot-bed for quality instrumental music and have done so by presenting us with this sea-monster of an album (which you can purchase on CD or double LP here).

Irepress will be playing in Dallas, TX at Reno’s Chop Shop with Zoroaster on March 18th. Also they will be playing at this year’s SXSW on the 19th of March at PLUSH with Constants, Caspian, Junius, Look Mexico, and the well respected Jonah Matranga of Far.
