Well the rainy season has started over here in the Bay Area and I honestly couldn’t be happier. Sound weird? Well when you haven’t seen rain in 3 months you might feel the same way. Anyway, the music world is buzzing with awesomeness and I’m here to project it to you listeners and sift out the crap. So here’s what I’ve found…

Pallers
While their track “Humdrum” has been floating around for sometime, are ready to release an official EP off Labrador Records on the 3rd of December. Their dreary electronic sound reminds the listener of a lighter Notwist while still clearly drawing influences from New Order and Depeche Mode. If you haven’t already heard the lounge inducing song “Humdrum” yet, you might want to go ahead and have yourself a listen.

The Tower of Dudes
I don’t exactly know what these guys do in their spare time to cause them to write a song called, “Drink, Fuck, Drive Truck,” but it’s entertaining nonetheless. Prague’s own Tower of Dudes (which sounds like the name of a surfer shop in Long Beach) combines the likes of punk, flamenco, folk roots, western twang, and other sounds generated by gypsies and rebels from across the globe. However, this is humble rebel rock; perfect for drunkin’ sing-a-longs at your favorite local bar.

Little Bear
If walking through the woods had a theme song, it’d be by multi-instrumentalist Nick Principe, otherwise known as . Hailing from beautiful Santa Cruz, CA, Little Bear displays honesty and soul with each song he creates. You can hear the leaves rustle and feel the wind on your neck when you close your eyes and listen to Little Bear’s latest EP, Army of Trees. There is so much going on in these songs, yet so little. Listen with care.
