Album Review, Music

Destroyer-KaputtYacht rock, loft pop, indie cloud music, the best thing ever, whatever you want to call it, Destroyer’s new album Kaputt is probably one of the best albums to come out of 2011 so far. Taking a genre of music so ridiculous in nature and cheesy on so many levels, singer-songwriter Dan Bejar does it again with a heartfelt and monumental album that made me go, “What the am I listening to, why do I love this so much?” I have been listening to this for a few weeks now and i can safely say that Kaputt might be one better album he’s ever done. I hate exaggeration but this is a very unique piece of throwback music. To the point where you can practically see the white suits, sunset cruises, Champagne toasts, and pinks and purples flying around you. Only a band like this could pull it off so eloquently.

Best Tracks: Chinatown, Suicide Demo For Kara Walker, Song For America
